Rounding Third and Heading for Home

Twenty-five years ago. I was a month away from taking an early retirement from BellSouth. I had a season ticket in the third row in the dugout section at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (check the price, $8.55 including tax). The Big Drum, the Tomahawk Chop, the Rally Caps and the incredible Worst to First Miracle Braves. Yes, life was good!

I saved every paper from Tom Glavine's twentieth win against Cincinnati on October 2, leaving the Braves tied at the top with Los Angeles, to the National League Championship series with Pittsburgh and the World Series with Minnesota. I have a new blog site on which you can relive that unforgettable month of October, 1991 with me.

The Blog is called Rounding Third and Heading for Home. I named it that because that's where I am in the game of life. Hopefully, I'll be called safe by the Almighty Umpire. My gratitude to Jay Kapp who put the blog together for me.
